Sculpture: Abstract

As with my abstract paintings, I’m not responding to the literal world. These sculptures are concerned with a duologue between we human animals and the planet that allows us to exist upon it. Most often these sculptures consist of found natural materials such as tree branches, stones, and various organic elements that incorporate human fabricated materials and imagery which is placed in juxtaposition to, not in unification with, each other. They are meant to be misleadingly seductive visually – which for me, as an artist, is great fun if I can pull it off.

This series began in the late 1990’s and continues to the present.
